Progress Reports Conferences & We Remember

Progress Reports Conferences & We Remember
Posted on 11/10/2023

Dear Parents and Guardians of St. Bernadette Catholic Community,

We hope this letter finds you well. We would like to bring your attention to a few important matters that pertain to our school community.

The Elementary Progress Report Card is more than just a piece of paper; it is a vital tool in fostering positive and productive discussions with both our students and their parents. As outlined in "Growing Success" (p. 66), it is intended to create a central platform for open dialogues that set a positive tone for the remainder of the school year.

Communication is the cornerstone of your child's education. To that end, we encourage continuous interaction between teachers, parents, and students regarding student achievement. This communication can take various forms, including parent-teacher or parent-student-teacher conferences, portfolios of student work, interviews, phone calls, informal reports, and more. These avenues are designed to ensure that you are well-informed about your child's progress and provide a space for collaborative growth.

We are pleased to inform you that you will receive your child's progress report on November 14th, 2023. It is not just an assessment of grades, but a comprehensive overview of your child's academic and personal development throughout the school year. Remember, it is not about comparing your child's achievements with their peers, but about encouraging them to compare their progress to their own previous accomplishments. This approach promotes a healthy learning environment that focuses on individual growth rather than competition.

We eagerly anticipate the upcoming parent-teacher conferences, which will be held on Thursday, November 16th, and Thursday, November 17th. These meetings are a valuable opportunity for you to engage with our dedicated teaching staff, discuss your child's progress, and set goals for the future.

On a different note, we would like to express our gratitude for all the parents and guardians who attended our Remembrance Day Liturgy on November 10th. It was a moment of reverence and reflection, thanks to the wonderful performance by Mrs. Williams' class. Special recognition is extended to Philip, who played the Last Post on his cornet, adding a heartfelt touch to the occasion.

Thank you for your continued support and active involvement in our school community. Together, we can provide the best possible educational experience for our students.

We look forward to seeing all parents and guardians during their scheduled conference time, and we are excited about the opportunities for growth and progress that lie ahead.

Sincerely,

Mr.Iassogna
