March Break News 2024
Posted on 03/08/2024

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As we approach the much-anticipated March Break, I wanted to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you. May this upcoming break be a time of rest, rejuvenation, and joy spent with your loved ones.

Before we embark on our well-deserved break, let us come together in prayer:

"Dear Lord, As we step away from our daily routines and responsibilities, we thank you for the opportunity to rest and recharge during this March Break. May we cherish the moments spent with family and friends, finding peace and happiness in each other's company. Bless us with safety and protection as we travel and grant us the strength to return refreshed and renewed. Amen."

I am thrilled to share some wonderful news with you all. Through our collective efforts, we have raised approximately 500 cans to support local and HWCDSB families in need. It brings me great joy to know that these families will soon receive the food they require, thanks to the generosity of our community. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Mr. McNamara for his dedication in caring for those in need, and to Mrs. Gambacort and her grade 4 class for organizing such a successful event. We will continue to raise canned goods until the end of the food drive, March 22nd.  We did  deliver  items to families in need at the halfway point over the March Break.

Additionally, I am pleased to announce that Mr. van der Zalm's grade 7 class will be treated to a pizza party for their outstanding contribution at the halfway point. They have truly gone above and beyond, and their efforts have not gone unnoticed. Congratulations to Mr. Van der Zalm's class on winning the pizza party!

Looking ahead, our grade 1 to 8 students will soon enjoy a date with University Bowling Lanes. This exciting outing will complement our physical literacy curriculum, providing students with a fun and active experience outside of the classroom.

As we prepare to embark on these upcoming activities and enjoy some well-deserved time off, let us remember the importance of community, generosity, and gratitude. May we continue to support one another and spread kindness wherever we go.

Wishing you all a blessed and joyful March Break.

Warm regards,

Mr. Iassogna

Principal
