Dear St. Bernadette Community,
Happy New Year! We hope this message finds you well as we
welcome 2025 with enthusiasm and gratitude. The first week of school has been a
wonderful one, and we’re excited for the opportunities and growth this year
will bring.
As the winter weather is upon us, we kindly remind families
to ensure children are dressed warmly for outdoor activities. Hats, gloves, and
proper footwear will help keep everyone comfortable and safe during recess and
outdoor learning.
We’re also excited to share some news about the upcoming Science
Fair for Grades 4–8.
School-Level Science Fair
Date: Thursday, February 13, 2025 at St. Bernadette
in the Learning Commons
Setup: Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in the Learning Commons
Organization:
- The
top three projects per grade will be selected to represent our school.
- Selection
Process:
- Written
reports with experiments are required.
This will be done in class and will be teacher directed.
- Staff
will select the top three projects
per grade, which will then be finalized with a backboard within a week.
This can be completed at home and at school.
- Staff
members will serve as judges during the school science fair.

Staff will select the projects that will move on to the HWCDSB System Science and Engineering Fair (SSEF).

our students during this exciting event!
