Scholastic Book Fair

We are overjoyed to share some wonderful news with you! Our recent Scholastic Book Fair was an incredible success, and it’s all thanks to YOU—our amazing students, families, and staff. Together, we didn’t just reach our goal of $5,000… we surpassed it in spectacular fashion!
Your generosity and enthusiasm have made a lasting impact on our school. Because of your support, we are able to add approximately $700 worth of brand-new books to our library collection. These books will inspire curiosity, spark imagination, and nurture a lifelong love of reading for every child who walks through our doors.
But that’s not all! We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to this success, we will also be purchasing a 3D printer for our school. This exciting addition will open up incredible opportunities for creativity and innovation, allowing our students to explore STEM concepts in hands-on, engaging ways. It’s a big step toward preparing them for the future while making learning fun and interactive.
Thank you for helping us make a difference. Together, we are building a brighter future for our children—one page, one project, and one dream at a time.

Friday, December 12th is a Red, White, Blue, and Yellow Full Civvies Day

We are excited to announce that Friday, December 12th will be a Red, White, Blue, and Yellow Full Civvies Day at St. Bernadette! On this special day, students are invited to come dressed in these bright and cheerful colors to show their school spirit and unity.
As part of this event, we are asking each family to contribute a $3 donation. All proceeds will go directly to support the Catholic Children’s Aid Society (CCAS), an organization that does vital work in our community.
Why This Cause Matters
The Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Canada is guided by Catholic values and teachings. Their mission is to protect the safety and well-being of children and youth, strengthen families, and nurture lifelong relationships. They provide services that:
  • Ensure child and youth safety, well-being, and resilience
  • Support thriving families through counseling, foster care, and adoption services
  • Work in partnership with churches, schools, and community organizations to build stronger communities
  • Promote compassion, equity, inclusion, and social justice in all their programs
In short, CCAS is dedicated to helping vulnerable children and families find stability, hope, and brighter futures.
How You Can Help
Your $3 donation may seem small, but when combined with the generosity of our entire community, it makes a significant impact. Together, we can help CCAS continue its mission of protecting children and supporting families in need.
We encourage everyone to participate wholeheartedly—dress in red, white, blue, and yellow, and bring your donation to school on Friday, December 12th.
Thank you for your continued generosity and commitment to living out our Catholic values. Let’s make this Civvies Day a joyful celebration of community and compassion!
Warm regards,
St. Bernadette's Admin
