System Innovation, Science & Engineering Fair
Posted on 01/06/2026
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to share that beginning this Wednesday, Mrs. O’Reilly will be leading our System Innovation, Science and Engineering Fair Club. This optional club is open to students in Grades 4 to 8.
To support families, we have provided the Student Guide, which outlines the process and expectations for the projects. The System Innovation, Science and Engineering Fair has taken on a different look this year, so we encourage you to review the guide with your child if they plan on participating in the club. Please note that the Science Fair this year will not include traditional experiments. Instead, students will focus on tackling real‑world problems by applying the scientific inquiry process and the engineering design process, rather than performing a classic experiment.
We will be hosting a school showcase in mid‑February, and we will share the exact date with you very soon. A selection of student projects from the showcase will move on to the System Innovation, Science and Engineering Fair on February 27 and 28.
To help students get started, we kindly ask that you work with your child this weekend to choose a problem or question they would like to explore. This will allow us to begin project work with students during club time this week.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
