The robotics team won the prestigious "Champion's Award" at this past Saturday's First Lego League Tournament at St. Mary High School.
This award celebrates a team that exemplifies the FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge experience by fully embracing the Core Values while achieving excellence and innovation in Robot Performance, Robot Design, and the Innovation Project.
The team has much to be proud of— their hard work, dedication, and commitment over the past two months have truly paid off and deserve recognition.
Their prototype vessel was astounding, and we will put it on display in our school.
The team is busy preparing to compete in the FLL Provincial Championship, which will take place on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Durham College in Oshawa. More details will be shared as they become available.
A huge thank you goes out to Mrs. Cheers who spent countless hours coaching the team to victory. I want to also recognize the work put in by Mrs. Bannon, our team manager.
