Blessings and Gratitude as We Close Another School Year
Dear St. Bernadette Community,
Blessings to each of you for a restful, rejuvenating, and joy‑filled summer. May these weeks ahead bring peace, renewal, and meaningful time spent with loved ones.
As we close another wonderful school year, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our entire community. Our parents, Catholic School Council, and dedicated staff have all played a vital role in making St. Bernadette a place where learning is joyful, meaningful, and full of excitement. Your support and partnership have truly shaped a year filled with memorable experiences.
I would also like to extend a special thank you to our students. Each day, you strive to live out our school pledge, demonstrating kindness, responsibility, and faith. We are so proud of the way you care for one another and contribute to making our school a welcoming and positive place for all.
A heartfelt thank you as well to our Catholic School Council, led by our Chair, Ms. Bellamy. We are grateful for the dedication of all members: Mr. & Mrs. Cerutti, Ms. Hein, Ms. McNea, Ms. Doyle, Ms. Murray, Ms. Martin, and Ms. Paci. Their commitment and support have gone a long way in helping us achieve our school goals, particularly in the area of technology, through the organization of fundraising events that directly benefit our students.
Together, we celebrated so many special events: Wonderland, Play Day, the Talent Show, French Café, Air Band, FDK Hop the Fence, and Camp Brébeuf. The pinnacle of our year, of course, was our Grade 8 Graduation, where we proudly sent our students off to St. Mary Catholic High School with great pride and excitement for the journey ahead.
As we look toward September, please expect an email the week before school begins with information about class placements. Our staff have worked thoughtfully and diligently to ensure each student is placed in a learning environment where they can grow and meet with success.
We also encourage families to take advantage of summer sales to purchase school supplies early.

I would also like to extend a very special thank you to Ms. Tardif, our Administrative Assistant. She works tirelessly for all of us, always going above and beyond to support our school community. She consistently strives to make everything run smoothly, and I am deeply grateful for her dedication, professionalism, and kindness.
We also offer our sincere thanks and warmest wishes to staff members who will be moving on to new schools or new opportunities: Mr. Carty (EA), Ms. O’Reilly (LTO Grade 2), and Mr. Patterson (EA). We thank them for their service and dedication to our students and pray for continued success in their next chapters.

Heavenly Father, watch over our families during these months of rest. Keep our children safe, fill their days with joy, and guide us with Your loving presence. May we return in September renewed, grateful, and ready for another year of learning and growth. Amen.
