Dear St. Bernadette Catholic School Community,
I hope this letter finds you all in good health. I am excited to share some wonderful news with you all regarding our recent food drive for the Knights of Columbus, who will be delivering non-perishable items to the Dundas Food Bank.
I am proud to announce that, thanks to the generosity and teamwork of our students, we have raised more than two non-perishable goods per student! This achievement is a testament to the compassion and community spirit that defines Saint Bernadette Catholic School.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Carey-Urban and our Student Council, who played a crucial role in organizing and managing the event. Their hard work and commitment to this cause have made a difference in the lives of those in need.
Furthermore, a big thank you goes out to our devoted staff members to ensure the success of this event.
Congratulations to Mrs. Moutinho’s grade ½ class who won a pizza party as they donated 3.5 cans per student. Way to go kids!
I want to express my gratitude to all the parents who contributed to this initiative. Your support has been invaluable as you continue to be models of Christ.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I want to remind everyone to count their blessings and find joy in the act of giving. As we approach this special holiday weekend, let us take a moment to reflect on our good fortune and express gratitude for all that we have.
I'd like to share a Catholic prayer with you all:
"Gracious and loving God, We thank you for the abundance of blessings in our lives, For the food on our tables and the love in our hearts. Bless those who are less fortunate, And may our contributions bring comfort and hope to their lives. As we gather with our families this Thanksgiving, May we be mindful of your grace and presence among us. Amen."
Lastly, stay tuned for more exciting news about our upcoming Halloween Move-A-Thon and Haunted House. All proceeds will go towards supporting our school's goals and initiatives.
Wishing you all a blessed Thanksgiving weekend filled with love, joy, and gratitude as you celebrate with your families.
Thank you for the continued support,
Principal of Saint Bernadette Catholic Elementary School
