Congratulations to our Grade Seven class for such a successful Boutique Market on May 2nd, where all beads, cards, bath bombs and treats sold raised approximately $3200.00, which will all go to our sister school in Uganda! We thank our staff students, families and friends who came out to buy our goods and support this worthwhile cause to help our sister school!
For the last several months, the Grade Seven class has been participating in a program called, The Learning Partnership’s Entrepreneurial Adventure. This program is designed to provide hands-on experiential business learning opportunities for students. The program is a product of the creative partnership between the classroom teacher and a business partner, who serves both as a model of business acumen and as a co-designer of the learning experience for students. The students have worked hard on creating an event for the whole school to enjoy!
The Boutique Market allowed each class to enjoy 40 minutes of shopping for various items and treats. The event also had a photo booth and a magician for entertainment. The students wore colourful civies clothing on this day to represent the diversity and colour of the beads, and the coming together of nations around the world for education of all children.
Special thanks to Mrs. Stampone, Mr. Patterson, Mrs. Ciccarelli, Mr. Stampone, Jacob Stampone, Mrs. Richber and her daughter Sarah, as well as all of the Grade Seven students and some of our Grade Eights for organizing such an amazing Boutique! Thank you to Mr. Daly, Chairperson of the Board, Mr. Hucal, Superintendent and Mr. Kislinsky, past Principal, for coming out and supporting our Boutique Market along with Mrs. DiGregorio, past Superintendent, who has truly connected us with our brothers and sisters in Uganda.
